We are a Costa Rican family of four. We love to travel, spend time together and enjoy nature. My husband and I are both dentists in San José. We work in the medical tourism industry, because most of our patients travel from the United States. On 2020 our international airport was closed; and we ended up in a very long vacation for 8 months.

During that period of time, we traveled to Nosara in multiple occasions; we fell in love with this unique and beautiful beach town.
That was when the Calma House Nosara project was born. Calma in spanish means peacefulness, which was exactly what we were looking for.

Guiones Nosara was the perfect spot. It is surrounded by jungle, with great surfing year-round. It also has state of the art shalas to practice yoga and a super cool skatepark. No other place could be that inspiring for us. This community is a melting pot of people from around the world that have one thing in common, we have found PEACE in nature and strongly believe in our responsibility to preserve it.

This home is our "happy place". It is our pleasure to share it with all like-minded, easy-going people who love life and enjoy nature.
This special place is the very definition of "Pura Vida"
